Ordination of Mother Mariam

April 2, 2026

By the grace of God, through the intercessions of St. Mary, St. George and St. Philopateer, and with the blessing of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, His Grace Bishop Mina, head of the convent and overseer of the Diocese of Mississauga, Vancouver and Western Canada, ordained a new nun at the convent: Omena Mariam.

We were blessed by the presence of Mother Arsania, mother of the convent; Reverend Father Angelos Saad; several fathers from the diocese; and Mother Marina, abbess of the Monastery of St. Mary and St. John the Beloved in Ohio.
